Heavenly Chocolate Ganache Cake

Ingredients:

For the chocolate cake:

  • All-purpose flour: 1 and 3/4 cups
  • Granulated sugar: 1 and 3/4 cups
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder : 3/4 cup
  • Baking powder: 1 and 1/2 teaspoons
  • Baking soda: 1 and 1/2 teaspoons
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Eggs: 2
  • Buttermilk: 1 cup
  • Vegetable oil: 1/2 cup
  • Pure vanilla extract: 2 teaspoons
  • Hot water: 1 cup

For the chocolate ganache:

  • Semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped: 8 ounces
  • Unsalted butter: 2 tablespoons
  • Heavy cream: 1 cup

Topping:

  • Fresh blueberries

Instructions:

Prepare the chocolate cake.

  • Adjust your oven temperature to 350°F or 175°C. Take two 9-inches round cake pans and grease them properly.
  • Take a large bowl, sieve together the sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • Add buttermilk, eggs, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients. Mix them properly.
  • Stir in the warm water up to the batter is smooth. There is nothing to be worried about if the batter will be thin.

Bake the cake:

  • Transfer the batter equally into the arranged pans.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 to 35 mints or until a toothpick injected into the center comes out spotless.
  • Let the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 mints, then take them out from the pans and allow them to cool fully on a stand.

Prepare the chocolate ganache:

  • Take a microwave-safe bowl, heat the heavy cream till it begins to boil.
  • Transfer the heated cream over the chopped chocolate and mix until smooth.
  • Let it to cool completely.
  • Add the butter and stir until well combined. Allow it to cool for a few minutes.

Assemble the cake:

  • On a serving plate Place one cake layer.
  • Equally distribute an adequate amount of chocolate ganache over the cake layer.
  • Cover it with the second layer of the cake.
  • Drizzle extra ganache on top and let it drip down the sides of the cake.

Add fresh blueberries:
